SAM: Continuous Power Africa’s flagship product until 2022 is the Site Asset Management (SAM) hardware range and custom solutions, configured for the African markets. Inala’s SAM hardware has been installed in over 45,000 sites across the African continent including in markets such as South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Lesotho, DRC, Congo Brazzaville, Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and Rwanda.

IQM: The next generation Intelligence Quotient Management (IQM) product range is the successor to the SAM product range that adds a new dimension to managing the power infrastructure on remote telecom sites. Whereas traditional RMS merely collects data for the purpose of alarm monitoring and generating operational reports, the IQM utilizes data harvested from the various equipment on site to dynamically control power systems facilitating optimal energy performance at site level, lowering operating costs and deferring capital costs.

The IQM is implemented on a platform that facilitates communication with a variety of equipment over standard physical interface ports and utilizes industry standard communication protocols. The IQM ecosystem is the next evolution in site monitoring. A powerful and adaptable hardware platform combined with next generation software makes managing and controlling your site and power systems easier than ever before.

Multiple communication interfaces allow integration with many different equipment on site, smart control technology such as “Smart rectifier control” improves site efficiency and power stability by preventing unsafe power conditions, innovative software functions such as VOST (Virtual On Site Technician) makes setting up control logic easier than ever before. For the best in class site management, think IQM.

Telco Li

The innovative design consists of a secure enclosure, powerpack & an electronics enclosure. The system has no exposed bolts & can only be unlocked electronically through secure communication. A dual defence anti-theft strategy is implemented utilizing both mechanical & physical protection, and electronic hard-coded software locking. In the event of unauthorised battery removal from site, the BMS will enter an inactive state, rendering the device unusable. Only an authorised technician may revive the unit. Batteries equipped with telemetry will inform relevant personnel in the event of soft lock activation.

The CPA R&D team develop unique peripheral technology solutions to solve for variables that affect Tower Cos and MNOs operation of Telecom sites. Tese devices are integrated with SAM and IQM platforms to accurately report relevant information and Peripherals include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • DC Digital Power Probes (DPPs)
  • AC Load Meters
  • RS232/RS485 Signal Converters (Surge Protection)
  • Aircraft Warning Sensors
  • Alarm Extension Modules (8/16 inputs)
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Door sensors and Digital Locks
  • Fuel Probes
